We’re happy to announce our last round of testing before launch. We’ve spent a lot of time trimming down our feature set and focusing on the core application with the hopes of releasing as lean an app as possible. That can be tricky since there’s been no shortage of ideas or suggestions to consider. So it’s been important to deliver the simplest and best ideas now, and plan on revisiting the features list in the weeks ahead. At any rate, we’re proud of the work we’ve put in and looking forward to it’s official release. Stay tuned!
Tweever is happy to announce that we’ve recently enabled live Twitter integration thanks in large part to gnip’s data portability service. We will continue to monitor its reliability and accuracy throughout the next few weeks, and if all goes well we look forward to expanding our use of the service to Flickr and Youtube as well.
This new functionality allows Tweever to better serve the needs of event attendees as well as those following at home. It also gets us much closer to facilitating real time 2 way communication during live events. Tweever thanks the folks at Gnip for their wonderful service and all their help!
The Tweever team stumbled on an excellent read a few weeks ago from the folks at 37 Signals. Getting Real a book of essays that details their strategies for web app development, execution, design, promotion and more. We’ve fallen in love with the book and have implemented many of its ideas in our own strategies. We particularly like their thoughts on focus and simplicity regarding application features and site/layout design. Many of their approaches validate techniques that we’d already employed, but we found the read inspirational nonetheless. Please give it a look if you haven’t already.
Tweever is a service that provides event goers with a canvas to stream their messages, photos and videos. Our goal is to make it easier for users to display their event experiences by providing one place to show your event relevant data. We’re currently hard at work in the development phase of the site and we’ll have regular blog updates throughout the lifetime of the project. In the meantime, please submit your email address here if you wish to be notified of the official site launch.
